Marina Sozopol

Just 34 kilometres south of Bourgas, one of Bulgaria's largest cities, and approximately 2 hours away by air from most European capitals, Sozopol is the oldest and perhaps most bohemian coastal town on the Black Sea. During the summer months its cobblestone streets and sandy beaches are a favourite haunt of international and local holiday makers, while the off-season transforms the town into a peaceful fishing village and a haven for artists, writers and discerning celebrities.

Bourgas Airport is the second largest in the country and is only a 30 minute drive to Sozopol on the newly renovated coastal highway.

The frequency and availability of direct scheduled and charter flights to Bourgas have increased in recent years. Currently Bourgas Airport has fast and convenient links from most capital cities in Europe.

Sozopol is easily accessed from Sofia (Bulgaria's capital), Varna and Bourgas (the main hubs of the Black Sea coast) via the recently renovated motorway E87, Route 9.

The nearby city of Bourgas is the main point of access to the southern Black Sea coast. The ports of Varna and Bourgas provide international passenger and car ferry services to the Mediterranean countries and Russia.
